Alanna is a licensed and registered Speech-Language Pathologist in the State of Massachusetts and she holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA). Alanna received her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology and her Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her clinical experience includes private practice and public school settings, as well as inpatient and outpatient facilities. She has experience evaluating and treating individuals who present with an array of cognitive, language and learning profiles. Alanna is comfortable utilizing technology in therapy and has experience using augmentative and alternative communication devices for clients with more significant needs. Her areas of expertise include articulation disorders, phonological disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, receptive/expressive language-based learning disabilities and language processing disorders. She also has extensive experience working with individuals with developmental delays, Autism Spectrum Disorders, social/pragmatic deficits, language-based learning disabilities and executive function disorders. Alanna believes in a family-centered approach, as this best supports children’s development and success. Alanna’s clients value her flexible, creative, and informed approaches to therapy to help their children make effective progress.
