Debra is a native of Canada and she received her bachelor’s degree in Child Psychology at The University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Canada, followed by a Master of Science in Communication Disorders from Northeastern University in Boston. Debra began her career treating the adult population, specializing in neurogenic disorders and dysphagia management in hospitals and rehabilitation facilities. Debra has been in private practice in the Merrimack Valley for over 20 years. She founded Speech Matters, LLC because of her commitment to the local community and her desire to bring a superior level of care and treatment to the Merrimack Valley.
Lisa Roland, M.S., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Lisa settled in Massachusetts after leaving New Jersey to get her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Disorders from Northeastern University. As a licensed speech-language pathologist, Lisa worked with children and adolescents in a variety of settings, including inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation, schools, and private centers before partnering with Deb Goldman to develop and manage Speech Matters. Lisa is committed to providing quality speech and language therapy in a family-centered environment surrounded by a team of skilled therapists and a community-based network of interrelated professionals.
Rachel Ziser, M.S., CCC-SLP

Rachel is a compassionate and outgoing clinician who enjoys building connections with her clients and their families to achieve their communication goals. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University.

Kassie is a dedicated speech-language pathologist who is committed to helping her clients achieve their communication goals. She is licensed in the state of Massachusetts, and she also holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
Nicole Martin, M.S., CCC-SLP

Nicole is a Southern California native who moved to Massachusetts for college. She completed her undergraduate studies at Boston College and earned her master’s degree in speech-language pathology at Boston University. Nicole holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in Speech-Language Pathology by the state of Massachusetts.
Christina Simblaris, M.S., CF-SLP

She completed her undergraduate education at the University of Maryland and earned her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Boston University. Christina has experience working across the lifespan in private practice, outpatient, and school settings.

She received her bachelor’s degree in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences at George Washington University and her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology at Boston University.

Emily is an enthusiastic and creative therapist who enjoys working with the pediatric population and their families. Emily achieved her bachelor’s degree in behavioral health at Boston University and her master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology at Northeastern University.
Hilary Gordon, M.S., CCC-SLP
Special Education Teacher, Reading Therapist
Hilary is a licensed educator and speech-language pathologist with a specialty in reading disorders and language-based learning disabilities. Hilary has level 2 certification in the Wilson Reading System as a Wilson Dyslexia Therapist and is a member of the Orton-Gillingham Academy of Practitioners and Educators at the Associate Teacher level. In addition, Hilary has formal training and extensive experience using the Lindamood-Bell programs – LiPs (Phonological Sequencing Program), Seeing Stars, and Visualizing and Verbalizing.

Kathy is a skilled professional with over 30 years of marketing and customer service experience in the corporate environment. Speech Matters is the next chapter of her career where she enjoys working in a family-centered office. Kathy specializes in day-to-day office management, resolving administrative issues, and juggling all the responsibilities that keep Speech Matters running smoothly. She enjoys developing relationships with the families we work with and supporting the therapists on our team. In her spare time, Kathy loves photography, traveling, and spending time with her family.
